It's not difficult to grasp. Sometimes it's possible to get results against the big spenders - most of the time you won't, no matter what tactics you employ or how many youngsters you employ.
You can fault sam for getting his arse handed to him by Palace, but losing away to Arsenal is not really worth getting yourself all worked up about.

I didn't say it was good to watch, i said we were good at spoiling their game for the most part, which we were. It took those handful of magic moments to get the goals. If we hadn't been so good at holding them at bay, they would have had double figutes, what with our midfield being so fucking slow.
And I said what you just repeated, that we put so much of our game plan into defending, we had little else left for attacking.

They had the ball 75% of the game, would say that is spoiling their game at all.
We had so many players in defence it made it almost impossible to break through, but i wont call that good.
It's fucking lame, boring, cynical and shit to watch.
Who the fuck would say "what a great game" after such a performance.
Yeah, its their money but the fans are putting their money into their pockets as well. NEVER forget that!

We were pretty good at spoiling their game for the most part, Allardyce's speciality, but that's it. So much effort goes into defence that there is nothing left over for attack.
I fully understand the owners cagey fear of relegation, and I've been thinking from their point of view for Allardyce's reign, but now I don't actually care if we go down and are the laughing stock in an empty OS. I just want the club to die trying to do something with a bit of soul, rather than cautiously timidly trying to be safe safe safe. It's not my money after all.
